Account Executive
Position Responsibilities:
Consultative field sales position that manages a base of
approximately 195 customers with an average annual telecom spend of $60k per
customer consisting of moderate-high complexity products. Responsible for
revenue retention and growth of customer base, resolving customer issues to
ensure customer satisfaction. Typical calls are made to Telecom/IT Managers.
Responsible for creating an ongoing relationship with Inside Sales, Sales
Engineers, Implementation/Billing Specialists and vendor partners to deliver the
complete line of Verizon voice, data, video, IP and Voice/Data CPE products. The
primary sales activity for this role will be farming and will be supported by a
shared inside sales resource.

effectiveness in managing premium customers.

Designs, proposes and sells integrated voice, data, LD, CPE
and internet solutions and value added application packages to moderate/high
value, high potential medium business market customers via face-to-face customer
interface.
Proactively manage and build relationships with
approximately 195 accounts in specific geographic territory to retain customer
base and increase revenue. Responsible for territory/account planning and
forecasting sales results. Partners with customer to understand their business,
industry, and competition to determine present and future needs in a
consultative selling approach.
Meet/exceed revenue objective (and Standards of Performance
as reviewed with manager on a monthly/quarterly basis) consisting of
moderate-high complexity products (voice/data CPE, complex voice, integrated
voice and data, data networking, and affiliate to include Private IP, Voice over
IP, Managed Services, CPE, Dedicated Internet Access, as well as traditional
legacy voice and data services).
Exceeds customer expectations in the area of quality
account management.
Interfaces with and is proficient using Account Planning
and Order Entry systems (OneSource)

Leads team of pre-sale, technical support and sales
implementation/service support team. Leads account team consisting of Sales
Engineers and Product Specialists. Responsible for creating custom proposals,
RFPs, accurate pricing and network configuration.
Coordinates/conducts customer application demonstrations
and seminars.

Responsible for all continued improvement/ongoing education
as it relates to technical, applications, sales and systems training.
Required Skills:
• minimum 3 years of CLEC/LEC/IXC or other related telecom
or technical face-to-face sales experience
• Proven & Quantifiable Successful Sales Track Record
Desired Skills:
• Degree (2 or 4 year) is strongly preferred
Additional Information:
First Consideration will be given to those with a minimum
of a 2 year degree
