Job Responsibilities / Qualifications

Manage and grow base of high profile accounts with a national focus, while having the flexibility to secure additional high-end opportunities in an assigned account base. Responsibilities include planning, developing and determining how Verizon Business products and services can competitively meet the needs of a long-term strategy for our customers. Using a consultative approach, you will develop customized Data and Internet solutions, and integrate emerging technology solutions for your clients including, but not limited to Security, Managed Services and Converged CPE. You have the opportunity to sell Voice, Data, Internet, CPE, Conferencing, Hosting, etc. into this base of accounts.
Qualifications: 8-10 years telecommunications (Data, Internet, e-commerce) sales experience. Excellent communication and presentation skills are needed. Proven account management experience, including competitive analysis, strategic planning and managing to revenue targets is required. Direct experience with Data, Frame Relay, ATM, Internet applications is necessary. Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office applications.

 

Senior Account Executive (position 2)

Position Responsibilities:

Consultative field sales position that manages a base of approximately 95 customers with an average annual telecom spend of $80, 000 per customer consisting of higher complexity services. Responsible for revenue retention and growth of high value customer base, resolving customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Typical calls are made to CEO/CIO or Telecom/IT Managers. Responsible for creating an ongoing relationship with Inside Sales (Telephone Account Managers) resource, Sales Engineers, Implementation/Billing Specialists and vendor partners to deliver the complete line of Verizon voice, data, video, IP and Voice/Data CPE products. The primary sales activity for this role will be farming and will be supported by a shared inside sales resource.

• Designs, proposes and sells integrated voice, data, LD, CPE and internet solutions and value added application packages to high value medium business market customers via face-to-face customer interface.

• Proactively manage and build relationships with approximately 95 accounts in specific geographic territory to retain customer base and increase revenue. Responsible for territory/account planning and forecasting sales results. Partners with customer to understand their business, industry, and competition to determine present and future needs in a consultative selling approach.

• Meet/exceed revenue objective (and Standards of Performance as reviewed with manager on a monthly/quarterly basis) consisting of high complexity products (voice/data CPE, complex voice, integrated voice and data, data networking, and affiliate to include Private IP, Voice over IP, Managed Services, CPE, Dedicated Internet Access, as well as traditional legacy voice and data services).

• Exceeds customer expectations in the area of quality account management.
• Interfaces with and is proficient using Account Planning and Order Entry systems (OneSource)

15%
• Leads team of pre-sale, technical support and sales implementation/service support team. Leads account team consisting of Sales Engineers and Product Specialists. Responsible for creating custom proposals, RFPs, accurate pricing and network configuration.
• Coordinates/conducts customer application demonstrations and seminars.

10%
• Responsible for all continued improvement/ongoing education as it relates to technical, applications, sales and systems training including completing VALT competency tests.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of Years proven sales experience with high value customers within the telecom or highly technical fields.
• Excels at selling on the basis of value rather than price
• Strong relationship, presentation and negotiation skills
• Excellent account planning skills

Desired Skills:
• Degree (2 or 4 year) is strongly preferred
